Welcome to the machine

image from www.stuff.co.nz

What can I say?

This is your Government, New Zealand. Leader of the Opposition, Prime Minister and feminst/communist/flower-power pin-up girl for the Green Party all celebrating their victory against you the citizen. 83% of Kiwis do not want this legislation, but these important people in Parliament know better than you.

Are you going to sit back and take it?

I'm not.

I think you will need to start a revolution - or perhaps an inquisition.

Where have you been all my life?

You're right anon, this is a serious issue.

time to start stockpiling guns and ammo as they will start coming for our children soon. Actually i wish there was a moral high ranking officer in the NZ Army who would organise a coup

You're sounding a bit fanatical anon.

But you're right, soon they will start coming for our children. A coup probably isn't what our country needs though. (light sarcasm)

Welcome my son,... Welcome to the Machine...

Where have you been? Its alright we know where you have been.
You've been in the pipeline, filling in time, provided with toys and 'Scouting for Boys'.
You bought a guitar to punish your ma.
And you did'nt like school, and you know you you're nobody's fool,
So welcome to the machine.

well, if you are not going to sit back and take it, what are you going to do about it?

I'd be keen to know.

I've got a few plans. Watch this space buddy.

One big thing I'm going to be doing is ensuring that the public remembers this anti-democracatic passing of Bradford's bill at the 08 election.

Andy,

I think the ONLY thing you can do is follow George Spreight's example and stage a coup. It really is just another brick in the Wall.

Andy Moore said...

Really? I can't say I know George Spreight personally, so I can't comment on his coup.

First, it is ridiculed .
Second , it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident "

Shame on our New Zealand politicians , children deserve better than this lot of untruthful misfits .

Talk of Coups (is that the correct plural?) is absolute rubbish. Some people obviously don't recognise the irony of breaking the law, so that they don't have to break the law to do what they believe is right. You've got something (the bill) that sure, is undemocratic if it's going against most of the citizens. But to forcefully remove the democratically elected government because of that means that you are just as bad or worse than the people you are trying to remove.

Either that, or I just don't understand less than obvious sarcasm...

Andy, I think you might want to consider deleting anonymous comments, otherwise you're blog is just going to get taken over by the crazies who aren't even man/woman enough to put their name to their comments.

A Restoration of the ancien regime is what in fact is required. A coup d'etat is something that can even be achieved by any Motley crew of Misfits. History shews that this Method of overturning Government is favoured by all manner of Riff Raff & Rabble & merely produces a false sense of Order.

Autocratic rule by a Strong Monarch & an effective advisory council of Nobility has always been the natural & proper Condition of an ordered Society. Governement by True Aristocracy & not by the common sort of riff raff who are merely exalted by their extraordinary Finances alone, shall know the means to restore Good Order.

Dead right John. On two points anwyay.

Firstly, see the dictionary, Coups is plural for coup.

Secondly, talk of coups I agree, is rubbish.

I am filtering comments - some are absolutely retarded, coming from crazed pro-repealists who are trying to write as if they are crazed fathers who love nothing better than beating the heck out of their little kids.

People can always create a pen-name profile on Blogger and not make their profile public, so while I do not prefer anonymous commentors, I don't delete their comments merely on principle.
