Anti-Spanking Bill Won't Pass, Lawmaker Says

San Francisco Bay-area Assemblywoman Sally Lieber has abandoned her campaign to make spanking a crime.

Check out the full story on the NBC news website here, where you can also vote in the poll.

Out of 14,855 total votes, 85% say it is acceptable to spank children, while 5% say "smacking is only ok with older children", and 10% are saying "no, smacking is violence and not an acceptable form of punishment.

Funny, isn't it, how New Zealand's entire Labour party, and members of other parties, including National just seem blind to the facts. I've never seen a poll yet where "smacking isn't ok" comes out on top.

Wake up Parliament!
